The origins of the Conesa Group go back to the 1930s when Mr. Antonio Conesa Muñoz, grandfather of the current Executive President, founded a workshop in Figueres for vehicles, cars and vans. Later, his sons Jose and Antonio Conesa Gibert, began in the same workshop of the father, to work in the construction of an own car and for the auxiliary industry of cars and motorcycles, and this is how they began in the metallurgical sector in the manufacture of metallic furniture for industries and workshops.
In the 1960s they created the metal toolbox and patented the total opening system under the HECO brand. Today the Figueres factory continues to produce toolboxes and all types of metal furniture for workshops, industries and also auxiliary furniture for the kitchen and bathroom. The latter under the brand Raquer.
The entrepreneurial spirit of the Conesa brothers led them to start many types of businesses without ever leaving the sheet metal processing industry.
Under the brand mineralia a group of companies specialized in industrial minerals are grouped together as a base for many applications and industrial uses, having production units outside the Spanish State with their own engineering at their service.
It was in 1978 when they started in the raw materials sector, exploiting a mine and producing refined and micronized product of Barium Sulphate.
At present mineralia, is one of the main actors of the world market of the Barite (Natural Barium Sulphate), also manufactures a great range of products of different minerals as the Talc, Mica, Dolomite, Kaolin, Quartz and Slate always in industrial uses.
The automobile has always been present in the Group, leading to a company that buys, sells and rents all types of vehicles, a company in the Nautical sector (Probrava) and another company that buys, sells and repairs trucks (Servitrucks).
